Terms of Use

Last updated: 9 October 2026

1. Purpose

These terms of use govern the use of the PicEvent mobile app, which lets you create photo and video albums shared between the participants of an event, and order prints of them. By creating an account, you accept these terms without reservation.

2. Access to the service

3. How albums work

4. Your content and your responsibilities

You remain the owner of the photos, videos and comments you post. You grant PicEvent a limited, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to host and display this content solely to the members of the album concerned and, for photos, to people who have its slideshow link if the organiser has created one, for as long as the album exists.

It is forbidden to post:

You alone are responsible for the content you post. The publisher may remove any manifestly unlawful content reported to it and suspend the account concerned.

5. Paid services: Event Pass and photo prints

PicEvent is free. Two optional services are paid.

Event Pass: €4.99 including taxes per album, paid once by the organiser, as an in-app purchase (Apple's App Store or Google Play, which collect the payment under their own terms). For that album and until it expires, it unlocks the live slideshow, full-length playback of videos (up to 3 minutes) and photobooth mode. It cannot be transferred to another album. The Pass is digital content supplied immediately: by buying it, you request its immediate performance and waive your right of withdrawal (article L. 221-28, 13°, of the French Consumer Code). Refund requests are handled by Apple or Google, depending on where you bought it.

Photo prints:

The app offers an optional paid photo print service, delivered to mainland France. It is governed by the terms of sale (in French), shown before any order. Payment is processed by Stripe: we never have access to card numbers.

Albums created before 9 September 2026 could be paid. Proof of those past purchases is kept by Google Play under its own rules; refund requests concerning them fall under that platform and the applicable law.

6. Account deletion

You can delete your account at any time from the app. Deletion is genuine and permanent: your profile, photos, videos, comments and likes are erased. Print orders, which are accounting records, are kept in anonymised form, as described in our privacy policy.

7. Intellectual property

The PicEvent app, its name, logo and graphic elements are protected. Any unauthorised reproduction is prohibited.

8. Availability and liability

PicEvent is provided “as is”. The publisher endeavours to keep the service available but does not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation. It cannot be held liable for the loss of content resulting from the normal expiry of an album, the principle of which is stated at creation.

9. Changes to these terms

These terms may change; the applicable version is the one published on the date of use. In the event of a substantial change, you will be informed in the app.

10. Disputes – Consumer mediation

In the event of a dispute between the customer and the company, both will endeavour to settle it amicably: the customer will send a written complaint to the professional, at piceventcontact@gmail.com.

Failing an amicable agreement, or if the professional has not replied within a reasonable period of one (1) month, a customer who is a consumer within the meaning of article L. 612-2 of the French Consumer Code may, if the disagreement persists, refer the matter free of charge to the competent mediator listed by the Commission d'évaluation et de contrôle de la médiation de la consommation under article L. 615-1 of the French Consumer Code, namely:

La Société Médiation Professionnelle
www.mediateur-consommation-smp.fr
Alteritae, 5 rue Salvaing, 12000 Rodez

11. Governing law

These terms are governed by French law. Any dispute falls under the competent French courts, subject to mandatory provisions protecting consumers.
