Delete your account and data
Last updated: 7 October 2026
1. From the app
This is the fastest route, and deletion is immediate.
- Open PicEvent;
- go to Settings and scroll down to the ACCOUNT section;
- tap Delete my account and confirm.
2. Without the app
If you have uninstalled PicEvent or lost access to your phone, email piceventcontact@gmail.com from the address linked to your account, with the subject “Account deletion”.
If your account was anonymous, include the first name you used and the album code: with no email address attached, that is the only way to identify you.
Requests are handled within 30 days, and usually within 72 hours.
3. What is deleted
- your profile: first name, username, avatar photo or colour;
- your email address and sign-in credentials;
- every photo and video you posted, including on our storage servers;
- your comments and likes;
- your membership of the albums you joined;
- the notification tokens associated with your devices.
If you are the organiser of an album, that album is deleted for all its members, along with all its content. Warn your guests and give them time to save their photos.
4. What is not deleted
- Photos and comments posted by other participants stay in their albums: they are not yours.
- We hold no payment data: payments go through Stripe, the App Store or Google Play.
- Your print orders and Event Pass purchases are accounting records: they are kept for ten years, but detached from your account, and the delivery name and address are erased. A paid order not yet shipped stays intact until it is sent, and the file of an ordered photo is kept until shipping, 60 days at most (see the privacy policy).
- Records of purchases made before 9 September 2026 are retained by Google Play under its own rules, over which we have no control.
- Reports you submitted are kept in anonymised form until the album concerned expires, so that the organiser can act on them.
5. Nothing is kept afterwards
Deletion is permanent and immediate: we keep no backup copy of your account beyond processing the request, apart from the anonymised accounting records described above. It cannot be undone — neither your photos nor your album can be restored.
